General While affordable, the EVH 5150 Iconic Series combo delivers 100% EVH-approved sound, and while this 1x 10 inch amp has a 15 Watt rating, it can go way harder than you'd think. This is no mere practice amplifier built to sit in the corner of a bedroom. This cheeky little valve-driven monster can easily back up rehearsals and even smaller gigs. Developed in collaboration with renowned amp-builder, James Brown, the EVH team present a genuine tube-loaded combo with a single 6L6 valve in the power amp section and two ECC83 valves sitting in the preamp section, and all of it is given full and lush voice by a single 10 inch Celestion speaker. Gain, Volume & Voicing Per Channel The EVH 5150 Iconic combo supplies two channels, each equipped with independent gain and volume controls while the Low, Mid and High EQ section tweaks both channels, a global Resonance pot fine-tunes the low-end and a global Presence pot adds some high-end shaping. Both channels have also been kitted out with a Burn Switch: an EVH exclusive that functions as an additional gain booster. Basically, when you flip the switch, there's no need for that external boost pedal. Finished off with an effects loop, two parallel speaker outputs and a wattage reduction switch that shifts the total output down to a quarter so you can still drive the tubes at a much lower volume level, this potent sidekick of an amplifier has thought of everything.
